Allison Frey
Undergraduate Academic Advisor; Primary Dance Advisor

Allison grew up in Ohio and graduated from Wright State University in 2010, receiving degrees in both International Studies and Religion and a minor in Spanish. One of her proudest accomplishments as an undergraduate was studying abroad three times in India, Costa Rica and Spain. Allison received her master’s degree in South Asian Religious Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2012, where she was an award-winning teaching assistant. Her graduate thesis focused on her personal and academic studies of Odissi, an Indian classical dance form. Her experiences working with students as a teaching assistant, study abroad advisor, tour guide and first-year seminar instructor fed her interest in academic advising, and she joined the AAC in October of 2012. In her free time, Allison is a very active swing dancer and teaches Lindy hop in Boulder and Denver. She lives in Boulder with her rescue dog, Una.
