THTR 3005 – COSTUME DESIGN ONE
Study and application of the principles of design as applied to stage costume, emphasizing texts in analysis and interpretation. Presented in a studio format and project driven. Explores character analysis, concept development, style selection, color theory and drawing and painting of costume renderings.
THTR 4005 – COSTUME DESIGN TWO
Advanced studio course building on experiences and techniques studied in Costume Design 1. Additional emphases on portfolio quality rendering using a variety of media and techniques for costume rendering, fabric selection and costume production technology as it affects and is affected by the designer.
THTR 4095 – ILLUSTRATION AND RENDERING
Advanced studio course is project driven with emphases on watercolor painting and multi-media techniques by analyzing and copying famous illustrations that explore various styles, moods and atmospheres.
THTR 4095 ADVANCED MAKEUP DESIGN
Studio course exploring various theatrical make up styles and techniques. Thus project driven course explores period styles, old age, fantasy character and wound/ gore designs while incorporating 3D and prosthetic appliances.
