Theatre or Dance Degree in Arts and Sciences
When students earn a degree in the College of Arts and Sciences, not only have they learned about an area in which they are passionate–their major–but they have also developed skills in a variety of areas that qualify them for jobs both related and unrelated to their major. Thus earning a BA or BFA in Theatre or Dance puts students on the path to a position in the arts field and also helps make them a desirable candidate for any position that requires proficiency in:
- written and oral communication
- critical thinking
- analytical reasoning
- research and organizational skills
- collaborative problem-solving
- project management
- creative expression
In addition to a variety of jobs outside the arts field for which a degree in Theatre or Dance will prepare students, below are some of the specific positions that theatre and dance students have pursued.
