The Foreigner

Unknown

By Larry Shue
Directed by Brendan Milove
Part of the 509 New Artists series

A depressed, conversation-phobic man is taken to a boarding home in Georgia. Far from his comfortable, yet unfulfilled existence in Britain, he pretends to be a “foreigner” to avoid discourse with the boarders. This only intrigues them and soon everyone in the house wants to talk to him. In the process, he is forced to make up an entire gibberish language, foil a devilish plot and discover who he truly is.
