Millicent Johnnie, assistant professor at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, will be the 2014-15 Roser Guest Artist in dance.
She will be in residence for two weeks at CU-Boulder, during which she will teach classes and set a work on students that will be performed in The Current, which opens April 17, 2015. Johnnie’s work has been staged throughout the United States and abroad with The Public Theater in New York City, the Kennedy Center, the Lincoln Center and other venues.
She previously has performed with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and others. Her choreography can also be seen in the feature film Scary Movie 5.
